Session times

Family portrait sessions are run from Wednesday's to Sunday's at two time of day - 9am and the last hour before sunset.

Many people ask us why only these two time of day and it has to do with the sun. As beautiful as it is, the sun is not flattering for portraits during the middle of the day. The light in the morning and in the late afternoon is much better for natural portraits outdoors. Therefore we only offer the morning and afternoon times.

Session duration

For all family portraits with Simplicity Portraits, we allow 1 hour.

Sometimes we capture what we need within an hour however to make sure we have time for a variety of different poses and background settings we always allow an hour.

This also make sure that we have enough time with the kids as well.

Session locations

We have a great selection of locations you can choose from for your family portrait.

Our locations have been tried and tested and are ideal for family portraits from couples to smaller families up to larger generation family groups

You can choose from beach location, greenery/parks, forest/woodland and lakes. Most of our locations are great for both morning or afternoon sessions, with the exception of a few, so be sure to make sure you have chosen one that is perfect for the time of day.

how many people?

There is no limit to the number of people that you can have at your family portrait session with Simplicity Portraits.

From a single model session, couples portrait, small family or full generations portrait with all the grandkids and grandparents included.

We also do not have a restriction on ages, so all are welcome, from 1 day old to 99 years old +
